A longtime resident of Montclair and the father of two children, Leonard is familiar with the many cultural and recreational activities Montclair and the surrounding areas have to offer adults and children. With a B.A. in Speech and Theatre from Brooklyn College, Leonard was also trained in culinary arts by renowned Chef Annemarie Huste, and was an executive chef for the New York Times Magazine Group and the Phillip Morris Company. He has been a cooking instructor, a gourmet shop manager and culinary consultant for Abraham & Straus department stores, where his demonstrations were called “great theatre” by the New York Post. He continues to be involved with theatre as a founding member of Montclair’s professional theatre company, 12 Miles West.
